													Elizabeth F. (nee Devaney) 
													Wittmeyer was born June 26, 
													1905 in Sligo County Ireland 
													to Michael and Bridget (nee 
													McGovern) Devaney. She died 
													January 5, 2008 at her home 
													in Arlington Heights.
													
													Survivors include her 
													grandchildren Ronald F. 
													(Carol) Wittmeyer Jr., Ward 
													W. (Deborah) Wittmeyer, Jena 
													Barnett and Bruce C. (Dawn) 
													Wittmeyer; her 
													great-grandchildren Lindsey, 
													Kevin, Lauren, Kristen, 
													Karl, and Kurt; Her niece 
													Marie Lebonette; nephews 
													William Wittmeyer and Edward 
													Devaney; and many grand 
													nieces, nephews and cousins.
													
													Elizabeth preceded in 
													death by her husband William Wittmeyer; her children 
													Ronald F. (Dea) Wittmeyer 
													Sr. and Edward Wittmeyer; 
													her siblings Mary Ann, 
													Catherine, John, Martin, 
													Josephine, Patrick, Ilene 
													and Bridget, and by her 
													parents. 
													
													Elizabeth moved to the U.S. 
													from Ireland in 1926 and 
													resided on the northwest 
													side of Chicago for 64 
													Years, where she was a 
													member of Queen of All 
													Saints parish. She worked 
													for years at Walgreens and 
													then at the Illinois 
													Secretary of State’s Office.
													
													She moved to Arlington 
													Heights in 1990, where she 
													met many new friends playing 
													bridge at the Arlington 
													Heights Senior Center. Since 
													moving to Arlington Heights, 
													Elizabeth has been a member 
													of St. James Catholic 
													Church. 
													
													Visitation from 4 until 8 
													p.m., Friday, at the 
													Glueckert Funeral Home, 
													Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington 
													Heights Rd., (4 blocks south 
													of Palatine Rd.) Arlington 
													Heights. Prayers 8:45 a.m., 
													Saturday, at the Glueckert 
													Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. 
													Thomas of Villanova Catholic 
													Church, 1201 Anderson 
													(Anderson & Williams), 
													Palatine for Mass at 9:30 
													a.m.. Burial at All Saints 
													Cemetery. In Lieu of 
													flowers, memorials may be 
													given to Catholic Charities,
