Francis D. Carlon
Of Des Plaines

Francis D. Carlon, formerly of Schaumburg, was born December 24, 1922, in Detroit Michigan to Clarence and Daisy (nee Dell) Carlon. He died, Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in hospice care at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village.

Mr. Carlon was a credit manager for Mobil Oil before retiring. He served in the Army during WW II and was a member of the Schaumburg American Legion Post #1983 and Past Commander of Gross Pointe Woods, Michigan Post #303.

His survivors include his wife of 61 years Mary S. (nee Stewart) Carlon whom he married June 15, 1946; his children Janet (David) Doberstein, Terry (Janette) Carlon and Robin (Loni) Carlon; his eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Francis is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Donald (Marie) Carlon.

Visitation from 10:00 AM until time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 11, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
