Catherine “Kay” Buchanan (nee Monaco) was born May 4, 1913 in Chicago to Michael and Mary (Scandiffio) Monaco. She died Thursday, January 3, 2008 at her son’s home in Bull Valley, Illinois.

Mrs. Buchanan was a homemaker.

She is survived by her sons Guy M. (Fay A.) Di Leo and Robert W. (Ruth) Buchanan of Naperville; her grandchildren Guy M., Jr. (Denise) Di Leo, Michelle L. Gullickson, Daniel L. Di Leo, Nicole F. (Jason) Lukach, Jack Buchanan and Jeff (Megan) Buchanan; and her great grandchildren Anthony and Alexandra Di Leo, Bradley and Tyler Gullickson, Zane, Sydney and Tristan Lukach.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Jack Buchanan and her siblings Isabel Ruggerio, Joseph Monaco, Angela Dalessandro, Thomas Monaco, Nick Monaco, Ralph Monaco, Tony Monaco and Daniel Monaco,

Visitation from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Monday, January 7, 2008 at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Hillside, Ill.
