Funeral services for Amy Caryn Kaphengst will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 13, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 West Olive St., Arlington Heights, where she will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Visitation is to be held at Glueckert Funeral Home,  Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights on Friday, January 12, from 3:00-9:00 p.m.

Amy (nee Friedrichs) Kaphengst was born May 15, 1967 to Gerry and Edward Friedrichs in West Allis, WI. She passed away at home January 6, 2007.

Amy graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School in 1985. She received a Bachelor of Science in Environment, Textiles and Design from the  University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1989 and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Amy was a Buyer Specialist for Remax.

She was the beloved wife of Joel; loving mother of Erica and Emily;
cherished daughter of Gerry (Moehling) Friedrichs and Dr. Edward (Lucy) Friedrichs; sister of Leslie Zanoni and Kristen (Dan Wong) Friedrichs; granddaughter of Esther Moehling; daughter-in-law of Jim and Jill  Kaphengst; sister-in-law of Jeff (Linda) Kaphengst; and aunt of Adam, Alex, Michael, Karissa and Katie Marie.
