Charles T. Burney

Charles T. Burney was born September 28, 1923 in Aurora, Missouri to Troy and Gertrude (nee Filler) Burney. He died Thursday, January 4, 2007 at his home.

Mr. Burney was employed by Kemper Insurance Company in Long Grove as an actuary for 30 years before retiring in 1988. He Served in the US Army during WW II. He is a former president of the CPCU Society.

Charles’ survivors include his wife of 56 years, Geraldine “Geri” nee Brankin whom he married February 18, 1950; his son Thomas R. (Joy) Burney of Crystal Lake, daughter Carolyn A. Taylor of Chicago; his grandchildren Virginia Taylor, Michael, Emily and Caroline Burney; his brother Frank Burney; his in-laws Lois and Joe Young, Tom and Pat Brankin; and many nieces and nephews

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert.

Visitation from 3:00PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 6:00 PM, Sunday, January 7, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment private.
