Jeanne Alterini-Schmidt
Of Rolling Meadows for 14 years, formerly Arlington Heights for 40 years
Jeanne Alterini-Schmidt was born December 11, 1932 in Teaneck, New Jersey to Raymond K. and Marie (nee Hickey) Smith. She died January 17, 2006 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Alterini-Schmidt was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus Holy Rosary Women’s Auxillary and the St. James Social Organization Committee.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, John Schmidt, whom she married on June 7, 1992 at St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights; her children, Gail (John) Katz, Kim Alterini, Susan (Jim) McPherrin, Barbara (Scott) Reader, John (Juliann McDermott) Alterini, Mary (Jay) Brodie-Geller, Paul Alterini, and Lisa (Brad) Swaback; her step children, Kenneth J. Schmidt, Barbara J. (Darrell) Cooper, and Terence Richard Schmidt; her grandchildren, Nick, Dana, Kyle, Tim, Casey, Lauren, Marty, Austin, Olivia, Grace, Josie, Colin, and Johanna; one great grandchild, Kaidence; her brother, Raymond Smith; and her niece Karen (Richard) Murawski.
She is preceded by her first husband, Martin John Alterini.
Visitation Friday, January 20, 2006 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 12:15 PM, Saturday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., proceeding to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery .
