Calvin M. George

Of Glen Ellyn

Calvin M. George was born October 26, 1918 in Chicago to Calvin M and Dora (nee Britton) George.  He died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Mr. George was an attorney and General Council for the Zurich Insurance Companies in Schaumburg for many years before he retired in 1984.  He served in the Army Air Corps during WW II and later as a Reserve Officer in the Judge Advocate General Corps of the Air Force.

Calvin's survivors include his children C. Mitchell (Jeane) George of Palatine, Salli (William) Ward of Owings Mills, Maryland, Daniel F. (Sandy) George of Houston, Texas and Stephen D. (Rose) George of Bellevue, Washington; and his nine grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Harriet nee Duke.

Memorial Service 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn, 535 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn.  Arrangements by the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., Arlington Heights.
