Karen L. Puglisi
Of Hoffman Estates
Karen L. Puglisi (nee Loew), 47, was born May 29, 1957 in Coshocton,
Ohio, the daughter of Walter and R. Joan (nee Crist) Loew. She died
Monday January 24 at her residence in Hoffman Estates.
Mrs. Puglisi was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and Fremd
High School College Career Center. She was also a mental health
counselor at Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband Joseph A. Puglisi whom she married
September 20, 1980 in Glenview, Illinois; sons Matthew Michael and
Daniel Joseph Puglisi; she is survived by her mother R. Joan Loew;
sisters Deborah (the late John) Puglisi, and Barbara (Kevin) Arth;
brother-in-laws Alfio (Lucia) and Louis (Rosa) Puglisi; sister-in-law
Alda (Frank) Houlihan; she is also survived by numerous nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Walter and her brother Thomas
Loew.
Visitation Wednesday, January 26, 2005 from 3:00 until 9:00 PM at the
Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks
south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:30 AM, Thursday,
January 27, 2005 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., proceeding to Holy
Family Catholic Church, 2515 W. Palatine Rd., Inverness for Mass at
10:30 AM. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 100
W. Palatine Rd., Suite 150, Palatine, IL 60067.
