Stanley J. Strenk
Of Arlington Heights

Stanley J. Strenk, 82, passed away Wednesday January 5, 2005.

Mr. Strenk retired from the Chicago Tribune, was a life member of VFW ParkRidge Post 3579 and served in the Army Air Force during WWII in the CBI.

Stanley was the beloved husband of the late Caroline Strenk (nee Decker) and loving father of Harry Decker and Donald (Mary) Decker. Grandfather of Harry (Laura) Decker, Douglas (Jennifer) Decker, Tammy (John) Baczek, Diana (Anthony) Garcia, Donald (Kathleen) Decker, and Derek (Kristie) Decker. Great grandfather to Ryan and Audrey Caroline Decker, Brian, Brett, Andrew, and Allie Decker, Evan and Alex Baczek, Grace and Daniel Garcia, and Marnen and Delaney Decker. Brother of Ceil Strenk. Mr. Strenk is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Strenk was preceded in death by a brother, John, two sisters Mary Zegar and Antoinette Pabin, two great granddaughters, Samantha and Ashley Decker, and one great grandson Noah Decker

Visitation Friday, January 7, 2005 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers will be held 8:45 AM, Saturday, January 8, 2005 from the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to a charity of one's choice or masses would be appreciated.
